The candidate must have fynbos experience and be NDT registered in the Western Cape.

Rock Art experience and knowledge will be advantageous.

Candidates will be responsible for an evening Nature drive, morning Rock Art Drive and facilitating a range of activities for guests such as archery, canoeing, picnics, hosting extraordinary dining, fishing, hiking and astronomy.

Candidates must have the following: NDT Registration WC, First Aid Level 1, FGASA Field Guide NQF2 (Level 1) or similar, PDP Licence

The salary offered is negotiable and will start at R6000.00 depending on experience.

A private Eco-tourism company based in a well-known nature reserve in the Overberg area is looking to recruit an advanced Field Guide/Marine Guide. The applicant will be required to host and guide guests with enthusiasm on nature based activities offered by the company.

Skills required:
Applicants should have at least a FGASA advanced level (NQF 4) or Marine Guide (NQF 2) certificate with a keen interest in the Fynbos Biome, Birdlife and the Coastal environment. A skipper’s licence will be an advantage. At least two - three years’ work experience in a similar position. We are looking to employ a dedicated and reliable individual.

The Greater Limpopo Carnivore Program (GLCP), established in 2011, is a research and conservation program aimed at improving the conservation of lions, cheetah, wild dog, leopard and spotted hyena across the Greater Limpopo Transfrontier Conservation Area of southern Africa with a particular focus on the Mozambican lands.
The GLCP has recently initiated the Limpopo Carnivore Protection Unit, an anti-poaching program which focuses on the targeted removal of snares and poison to reduce the most detrimental threats to wild lions and other carnivores in the region.
The Greater Limpopo Carnivore Program is seeking applications to fill the position of anti-poaching team operations manager. The position will be based in the Limpopo National Park, Mozambique and function on a yearly contractual basis. This successful candidate will work closely with and report to the program manager and work closely with the team’s rangers and the National Park protection services.

Key responsibilities:
Deploy and collect rangers on patrols
Collect and report information on poaching activities
Drive and maintain anti-poaching vehicle
Conduct supply runs
Collect ecological and poaching data
Maintain a small base camp

Key qualifications:
Highly motivated individual
Strong conservation focus
Experience living and working in remote wilderness
Education and/or experience in either ecology, wildlife management, conservation, guiding or anti-poaching
Drivers licence and clean police check
Basic mechanical knowledge, navigational abilities, first aid, computer skills and survival skills
Organized and adept at improvising and finding solutions.

The position is being offered as a private contract between September 1st to December 31 2017, with option to renew for the following 12 months and yearly afterwards. The candidate will work 3 weeks on 1 week off. Pay is R 6000/month, and includes accommodation. Deadline for applications is August 1, 2017.
